walnut butter biscuits
There is definitely something to be said for the simple pleasures in life; and a well made cup of tea and a homemade biscuit is in my opinion one of the finest ways to spend a few moments. My crisp and crumbly walnut butter biscuits are a quick and easy biscuit recipe - ready in less than 30 minutes from start to finish. A delicious weekend (or anytime) baked treat.
recipe by Ema at De Tout Coeur Limousin
ingredients:
100g finely chopped walnuts
100g butter
100g plain white flour
100g sugar
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
pinch salt
method:
preheat the oven to gas 3/160C and line a baking sheet with grease-proof/baking paper add all the ingredients to a food processor and whizz up until the dough comes together into a ball. Or mix with a wooden spoon - it just takes a bit longer scoop tablespoons (or I use a ice cream scoop) of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet about 3cms apart bake for 10-12 minutes or until they start to go golden brown around the edges. Don't worry if they seem soft, they will continue to cook and firm up after you take them out of the oven wait for about 10 minutes for the biscuits to cool before carefully placing them on a wire cooling rack Enjoy and bon weekend. |

ReplyDeleteI can highly recommend them - a result of a bit of cold weather kitchen experimentation to cheer up the day. Will definitely be making them again. Thanks so much for hosting the lovely #happyandhome too :)
DeleteThey do look good. I don't make biscuits that often but when I do I often think why on earth not! #happyandhome
