Stir fried radish greens with sesame, ginger & garlic

Stir fried radish greens with sesame, ginger & garlic. A quick and easy seasonal spring vegetable dish using the often ignored radish greens. I look forward to trying out this recipe using my own home grown radishes when/if they emerge. I am a bit of a novice gardener, but enthusiastic and willing to learn. I love whiling away a few hours in the garden and pottering about, with nothing else to distract me apart from chasing after Eric le chien who makes an occasional bolt towards a passing tractor. Gardening for me is as much, if not more, about the actual process of getting outdoors and enjoying nature, than the finished product. Although I am beyond proud if I manage to actually grow something. 

I have recently been preparing and planting a few vegetables and herbs in the garden beds, so fingers crossed. I will keep you updated...any beginner gardening tips gladly received. 

 ingredients: 
2 bunches radish greens
1 tbsp ginger finely chopped/grated
2 garlic cloves thinly sliced
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1-2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1-2 tsp dark soy sauce
method:
Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan. Leave to one side while you cook the greens. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the sliced garlic and ginger and stir fry for a minute or so until fragrant. Add the radish greens and cook until wilted - this will only take a minute or two. Season with sesame oil, soy sauce and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds. Serve with plain boiled rice or as a vegetable side dish with grilled meat or fish.
